Project Description:
Electrolyser v4.

-In this version, my main goal was to minimize the amount of standing hydroxy in the system.
-I changed this version to submerged, instead of series.  Series cell electrolysers are quite a pain in the butt.
-Everything in this version is quite cheap ($20 in shim stock, $30 in hardware, $4 in containers, so far).
-My ultimate goal is to create many of these units in series, off a 24v power supply, and to create enough gas for welding.

Updates:
10/10/05 - Updated title of the project.  Abandoned because of difficulties sealing the container.

The ziplock containers I'm using for cells.  Cost me $3.99CDN.

Drilled two holes through the container for the electrodes (threaded stainless rod)

I made my own little "nipple" for the container from my threaded nylon rods.

For the electrodes poking through the container, I sandwiched nut-oring-container-oring-nut, much as Chris did in one of his designs.  I also ended up using the same principle on the gas nipple.

To make my gas nipple, I drilled a hole into a piece of 2" wood that was equal to the diameter of the threaded rod, stuck the rod in the hole, and cut it off with a flush-cut saw.

After cutting the nylong rod off inside the wood.
