8/8/08. Here both the Smack and single Mr. G cell each get 12 volts. seeing is believing.
Solution is filtered water with 1 tea. lye. Amps are about 10, probably 5 for each cell, did not test.
I think smacks usually run about 2 tea. to a gallon and 15-20 amps. At that amperage, they get pretty hot.
When the Mr. G cell fires up, you see a big rush of bubbles coming up from the center of the coil, and the turbulence continues until you can see the water being vacuumed up at the bottom of the coil.

This is a pair of Mr. G cells (coated with Goop on outside and edges)
ready to go in a 3" ABS cell. Vacuum bubbler attached.
This cell is ready for high vacuum.
It was made for an '01 Toyota truck with 6 cyl.

This 3" cell holds 2 quarts. Bottom is clean out valve.
Needle valve at top is for filling.
Went to needle valve because these will be subjected to high vacuum.

6/27/08. Current Mr. G cell configuration. Using double walled ss to increase life, running 3 in series runs each at 4 volts (approx.), covered with economy 2" hose from Lowes- about $1.50 foot- look in the area above the hose and tubing at Lowes for this hose. Spaced about 1" apart. This assembly is a little over 9" long and will fit inside 3" ABS. Noticed running 3 in series the water stays cleaner, this would suggest that there is less SS decomposition. Using 1 level tea. lye per gallon filtered water.
7/14/08. Running three in series has proved to be very successful in stopping cell decomposition. Water is staying very clean, which means cell will go longer between cleaning, and metal will last much longer.

6/27/08. 3 G cells tested, see how clean the water is, though fresh. A little over 6 amps, good performance.
