Some more ramming photos... about 1/2 way done here.


Done with the outside portion, now we have to make the floor... Yikes I don't think I'm going to have enough refractory mix left?!


Making it nice and smooth and packing it in there good and tight!


Starting to load up the bottom of the furnace. I have placed my little wooden "T" in the bottom so that it will burn out the "runoff trays" ...just in case of an accident.


Here my wife is being a sweetie. I did run out so we robbed a bit of sand from my daughter's sandbox. A bit of sifting, a little mixing and some water. Poof done. -Yes I know this didn't cure overnight like the rest, but for such a little amount, I don't think it will matter much. I hope not at least!
