This is a pic inside of the outer hub with the shaft and collar assembly in place as well as the snap ring and washer.

Here I have the outer hub removed for you to see. The shaft and collar (the new one I machined) are in place, the snap ring is in and the extra washer is in place. The way mine is set up right now this extra washer is doing absolutely nothing at all become nothing pushes on it from the left to keep it against the snap ring.

It also appears that my epoxy coating on the inner hub needs to be re-applied. Mine appears to be the older "black" color coating.

Here I've removed the extra washer since it's doing nothing. You also see more of the area my epoxy is missing.

This washer would just end up wearing on my shaft and rattling around inside the outer hub if I left it go. I'm sure I received my lathe with something mis-configured here which is why this is the way it is right now.

Pic inside the outer hub. This should be a 2605 bearing in there. But it's seated into the outer hub.
