Helps it burn more completely if that's what you mean. It's a destabilizing agent if I understand it correctly.

Acetone combines with gasoline creating a very even burn. Most don't realize that power is lost because gasoline combustion delivers a certain uneveness of power. Acetone will even it out. I used it in my super modified sand rails back in the early 80's. Pick up a book on racing fuels and it will give the the correct mixure. It also attacks plastic... do you have plastic in your fuel system???? Most likely.. even caburetors have plastic floats.

Yup, it fuses PVC as well as the cement. Definitely wouldn't want
to run it through any kind of bubbler system or hoses. Gasoline
vapors are corrosive enough.

Do you think adjusting the timing in any small way would help with acetone? Do you know if it burns faster or slower or just more evenly?

when you say 3% ,are those results from a carb with plastic or a fuel tank with plastic fuel pump in it?Are you saying 3% is ok with plastic?just bought some today but havent used it thank goodness!!!!

This sounds like it may work better for a vapor carb, and or bubbling through gasoline. What do you think, anyone? Thrival?
