For industrial applications the frequencies used may be quite high; for home use the frequency is generally around 30 KHz to 40 KHz.

Yes richie burnett, I’ve been reading his site for a while, very good info in an easy to digest manner.

Double checking back, the target does only need to be electrically conductive.

So why no reaction?……..frequency increases the skin effect therefore raising the resistance, more heat.. our target is of the atomic size. I would also of thought that the alternating field would be rotating the water molecules same as microwaves, thus causing some heating though only small.

Trying to be constructive I cannot say it is down to lack of watts only frequency or that the sodium is chemically bonded.

Even Aluminium, which AS notes doesn't transfer magnetism very well, is used to construct those large electromagnets used in scrap yards.

Also, astrophysicists use turbulent liquid sodium in copper cylinders to induce magnetic induction in order to model planetary magnetic field phenomenon. This is sort of a reverese process to what AS is taking about.

Which got me thinking, if you cycled the concentrated NaOH solution through those wire wrapped PVC pipes, you should get some interesting high voltage spikes coming off those coils. Is there a way to use this concept in a rankin cycle to produce electricity? I'm sure AS has thought of this.

I'm building a scaled down model of AS's to test some ideas. I will post my results in a project folder when I have something.

The flyback spikes are discharged in neon gas discharge tubes-AKA NEON LIGHTS.

Similarities to Meyer's Claims? Maybe the Neon tubes in his arrangement were for the exact same reason. To prevent destroying the circuits when the field collapsed.

The heat generated will be captured and utilized. It's funny how well a little bit of plumbing can cause a peltier junction to perform better in stages using high efficiency cooling to generate the maximum thermal difference.

Why do you think the recyclers want alternators and generators? The iron? No. The Copper!

Copper windings make good small scale electromagnets, and cheap to build alternators and motors.

The NaOH concentration is pushed to the 100% dilution. To determine the 100% dilution point, the NaOH is added and stirred in a large glass container and allowed to sit for 12 hours and anything more than the 100% dilution/saturation will precipitate out of solution and re-crystalize in the bottom of the container. Don't use these re-crystals. Use everything else.

KOH works the same.

Ok, first thing I want you to do is take the term "Magnetic Coupling" and throw it out the window.

It's just confusing you.

Now look at basic magnetic induction. The principle is covered in 1st year electrical courses.

Basically it works in the same principle as a transformer.

A changing manetic field shall incuce a voltage/current into a conductor present within its magnetic field.

Now you may say "but NaOH isn't a conductor!"

I say cods wallop!

EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERESE IS ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE!

It just depends on the resisance of said item.

Even dry wood can conduct electricity. It has a very high resistance, but if you put a high enough voltage to it, it will conduct. Even Electrical insulation that comes on your house wires is conductive above a certain voltage. Now reasearch what a Megga does and why you are required by law to test you cables with one when you are doing electrical installation work.

Now what has this got to do with this project?

Remember that the higher the frequency in a transformer, the higher the voltage induced in the secondary coil.

Basically this is the situation.

The coil on the tube is the primary coil of the transformer

The NaOH satuated solution is the secondary coil

Now, if NaOH has a very high resistance, you must have the frequency high enough to induce a high enough voltage into the NaOH.


50-60HZ IS NOT A HIGH ENOUGH FREQUENCY!

Remember

Hz = cycles per second

kHz = Thousands of cycles per second

MHz = Millions of cycles per second


The fact of the matter is that your induction hob is too slow. If it ran in the kHz to MHz range, at the same input voltage and current draw, the field strength would be immense and it would work extreamly well. But alas, it doesn't.


As for my replication, lack of resources and time is hindering my progress atm. Though I may acttually be getting someone to do some of the work on it for me.
