Controlling hydrogen output

My question is, after the electrolyzer is built, how would I controll how much hydrogen is produced? I have read that more amperage means more gas, but how would I control amperage? More importantly how would I control it by means of a accelorator pedal of a car?

For a DC setup you can use a PWM to control delivered power. This is basically the same as a speed control to control a DC electric motor. Throttle response time is not that good however with that method.

The setup I used in the past with an LP vapor carb setup was a 5 PSI pressure switch to switch power on and off to the unit. The vapor carb worked with the low pressure regulated output.

That would work, plenty of current capability. Voltage may be a bit higher than most are used to working with. If you use enough cells to divide the voltage, or use a voltage regulator, you're in business.
